Church softball team sign-up opportunities

MARTINSBURG —  The Berkeley County Christian Fellowship Softball League (BCCFSL) is excitedly preparing for its upcoming 2024 season, scheduled to run from April through August. This league warmly welcomes teams sponsored by churches, extending an invitation to join in on the fun-filled action on the softball field.

They’ll be more than happy to provide you with all the details you need to get involved in this wonderful community sporting event.

First Friday drive-thru set

MARTINSBURG — The Pikeside United Methodist Men are excited to announce their upcoming take-out meatloaf dinner, happening this Friday starting at 4 p.m. until we run out! Each delicious dinner is priced at $8 and comes with a mouthwatering serving of meatloaf, perfectly roasted red potatoes, crisp green beans, a fresh roll, and a delectable dessert.

Your support will directly contribute to the Pikeside Men’s ministry efforts, as they continue their valuable work assisting the Scouts and serving the local community.

Pancake breakfast slated for March

SHEPHERDSTOWN — Join us for a delightful pancake breakfast at New Street United Methodist Church, located at the corners of New and Church Streets in Shepherdstown. The event will take place on Saturday, March 9th, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Our menu features a scrumptious selection including homemade pancakes, crispy bacon, savory sausage, freshly prepared sausage gravy, fluffy scrambled eggs, sweet applesauce, and a variety of beverages including coffee, tea, and juice.

The cost for adults to enjoy this delicious spread is $10, while children aged 4 to 12 can join in for just $5. Come hungry and leave satisfied as you support our church community.

Craft and Vendor Bazaar set for March

BUNKER HILL — Come join the festivities at Bunker Hill Presbyterian Church’s Spring Craft and Vendor Bazaar, happening on Saturday, March 9th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Bring the kids along to meet and snap a photo with the Easter Bunny, and let them unleash their creativity by decorating sugar cookies.

We’ll have two food trucks on site to satisfy your cravings: Wrapped and Rolled, and Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck.

Browse through a variety of vendors offering homemade crafts, and check out popular brands like Thirty-One, Scentsy, doTerra, and Norwex. Additionally, indulge in delicious honey and products from Bunker Hill Apiary.

Church to hold two events in March

Gerrardstown United Methodist Church

GERRARDSTOWN — Join us at Gerrardstown United Methodist Church, located at 1781 Gerrardstown Road, Rt. 51W, for a delectable soup and sandwich sale on Saturday, March 16th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. We’re serving up a variety of homemade soups including bean, chicken noodle, chili, and vegetable beef. Pair your soup with one of our delicious sandwiches, featuring country ham, chicken salad, steamers, or hot dogs.
